Her arm looks a bit like watercolor. I don't notice a whole lot of difference in the teacups. Makes it look like mixed medium. It's not bad, but I personally prefer the texture. It's still a cute picture.

Question: What's the spine of the red checkered book say? "ooking" as in "cooking"?

^__^ Watercolour, eh? Hmmm. Not intentional, but I know what you mean. It's the scanner's fault--it didn't pick up all the colour. Personally, I don't mind the texture that comes from a scanned colour-pencil piece, but it really really bothers me when the skin turns all blotchy (more so than is visible in this piece)...especially since I was turning it into a print! So, yah, I guess it's become a mixed media. ^_^

Yah, it says "ooking". I was thinking the long version would be "Southern Cooking", but it could really say just about anything. *nods*

Maybe, instead of smoothing it, you could try overlaying a color over the arm, and setting the layer to affect hue. I've done that in the past to fix skin color in photos, and it works great. (that is, so long as you have the right hue picked out)

Hmm...haven't tried that. I'll see what I think. It's really a matter of the scanner picking up the grain of the paper, so...I dunno if overlaying a colour will help or not. Thanks for the tip, though. ^_^

Ha ha. ^__^ Thanks. I had my doubts there for a moment, but after I got the grass in, it really helped. *nods*

It makes me wish I was a little girl of six or seven again. I never actually had teaparties with my dolls, considering I don't like tea...but that's not really the point. I love the details in the little girl's curls, and the flower makes for an innocent touch! I can really apreciate hand drawn grass that you did in the front(only recently tried it myself(made my hand hurt, but it was one of the best backgrounds I ever did) I love the imprecinistic like bushes in the back, and the leaves on the trees are gorgeous. I love the detail you put into the brown teddy bear. It looks like you could almost touch him! I also love the cute design of the chair!
